200,000 Chips Shipped in Eight Months: Xinxin Hangtu Begins Volume Deployment
By Wujie Aniu
On October 29, Xinxin Hangtu unveiled its X7 Ultra chip in Suzhou and announced delivery results for the X7 series. Eight months into mass production, cumulative shipments have exceeded 200,000 units, and the chip is already deployed in 10 production vehicle models.

Founded in December 2023, the company started with automotive-grade validation. The X7 has been used in models including SAIC Volkswagen's ID.ERA 9X, MG 07, and Roewe Jiayue 07. The new-generation X7 Ultra is also paired with Momenta's upcoming R7 Ultra world model.
On October 17, in "Behind Momenta: Xinxin Hangtu's Chip Business," we asked whether the X7 could expand from a project like the MG 07 to multiple brands and form sustained shipments. Today's announcement of 10 production vehicle models and cumulative shipments exceeding 200,000 units answers the question about supply scale at that time.
Passing Automotive-Grade Testing Is Only the First Step; the Chip Still Has to Get Into Specific Models
According to the timeline listed on Xinxin Hangtu's official website, the X7 came back from the fab and lit up in June 2025, and entered mass production in vehicles in March 2026. From the company's founding to its first chip being installed in a production vehicle took more than two years.
On February 10, SGS announced that it had completed 16 reliability tests for the X7 covering environmental stress, life simulation, packaging, and electrical characteristics, and issued an AEC-Q100 verification certificate. The tests included high-temperature operating life validation and electromagnetic compatibility testing at maximum power consumption.
SGS also said the two sides shortened the validation cycle through test planning, parallel multi-project validation, fast scheduling, and real-time communication. After this work was completed, the X7 entered the mass-production vehicle installation phase in March.
In its introduction at the Beijing Auto Show in April, Arm confirmed that the X7 had been used in SAIC Volkswagen's ID.ERA 9X to provide compute for urban navigation-assisted driving; the chip uses an Armv9 automotive-grade CPU and is equipped with a neural network processing unit designed for in-vehicle large models, and can support Momenta R7.
The MG 07 official website explicitly lists the combination of Momenta R7 and X7, which together with lidar provides functions such as urban NOA and parking. On October 22, SAIC Motor also confirmed in an exhibition announcement that the previously written-about Roewe Jiayue 07 adopts a software-hardware integrated solution consisting of the R7 world model and the X7.
