Kimi K3 Arrives, but the Startup Battlefield is in the Application Layer
On the first day of WAIC, over 15 academicians and Turing Award winners took the stage, launching at least 8 new models. Kimi K3 once again set a new record for long context windows. But as an entrepreneur who has stumbled in both Web3 and AI, I'm not focused on these parameters, but rather another data point: the proportion of guests mentioning "commercialization" and "revenue" was at least 3x higher than last year. Last year, everyone was talking about the AGI singularity; this year, they've started discussing how to sell models and how to get customers to pay. This shift is more worth taking seriously than any technical breakthrough.
