Key Excerpt

The NVIDIA Isaac GR00T Development Platform provides an open, modular, and fully integrated end-to-end workflow for developing, training, evaluating, and deploying humanoid robotics policies — from simulation setup and teleoperation data collection to post-training and real-world deployment.

Physix Frontier Analysis

Note the nature of this: it's a technical educational overview, not a new model or product launch. But its strategic implications are heavy—NVIDIA is systematically lowering the barrier to entry for the humanoid robot development toolchain: simulation → teleoperation data collection → post-training → real-world deployment, offering an all-in-one open workflow. Essentially, this is ecosystem lock-in: if everyone's policies run on GR00T, NVIDIA becomes the "CUDA of robotics." For domestic embodied AI teams, this means when developing proprietary VLAs / world models, you need to seriously weigh whether to "build on top of GR00T" or "start from scratch."

Verification Note: Official technical blog, overview/educational nature, not a major product release; whether it comes with a substantial SDK version update is yet to be confirmed.

If you're just tweaking GR00T interfaces for this direction, reviewers will spot it immediately, making it hard to publish papers. If lab funding is tight, instead of developing your own VLA, it's better to directly borrow open-source platforms to reproduce baselines.

The technical solution for this platform is quite mature, but the key is still whether customers buy in. Are domestic teams currently following GR00T with their self-developed solutions? If they do, will they get locked in? It's worth deep thought.

Looks like NVIDIA does everything?
