Chongqing's mountainous road conditions place high latency requirements on the perception pipeline. I wonder if they've done operator fusion for edge-side inference; otherwise, computational resources for 3D reconstruction will be tight.

Running Robotaxis in complex road conditions like Chongqing is no small feat, but the validation value is high. Pony.ai setting up a base in Southwest China clearly signals their intent to secure operational licenses; it all comes down to subsequent implementation progress.
