Apple AI Enters China: Compliant Launch, but Diminishing Returns from Model Distillation

Filing data shows that as of July 15, seven domestic mobile-side large models have passed generative AI filings, including Apple Intelligence, Huawei Xiaoyi, OPPO AndesGPT, vivo Blue Heart, Xiaomi HyperAI, and Samsung Galaxy AI. Apple was the last international manufacturer to complete the filing, nearly a year after its global launch.
