Humanoid Robots' 'Big & Small Brain' Fusion: From Tech Narrative to Commercial Reality
If you compare humanoid robots to athletes, the brain handles "when to jump and which direction to push," while the cerebellum manages "how each muscle coordinates to complete the move." Over the past five years, most teams have focused on single-point breakthroughs: either making the brain (perception + planning) as smart as a chatbot but having it wobble like a drunk when running; or perfecting the cerebellum (motion control) so it can backflip, but if you say "go get a glass of water from the kitchen," it just spins in place.
