Embodied AI Raises 22.2 Billion Yuan, Yet I See Many 'Brain-dead' Robots at Production Lines
If you visit a standard automotive welding shop, you'll notice an interesting phenomenon: the most expensive equipment isn't the robot body itself, but rather the welding gun and its accompanying wire feeder. A standard FANUC or KUKA robot body costs roughly over a hundred thousand RMB, whereas a Bosch Rexroth welding clamp—plus its controller and cables—can easily double that price. The robot body is just the "arm"; the process equipment is the "hand."
