Avatr 07L's 896-Line LiDAR: Resolution Becomes the Arms Race in Autonomous Driving
LiDAR "line count" is like the "context window" for AI coding tools—the larger the parameter, the wider the perception range, but actual implementation effectiveness depends on algorithm and system synergy. The Avatr 07L will soon feature Huawei's Qiankun 896-line LiDAR, a number that is practically "alien tech" level among mass-produced cars. As an engineer working on AI tools, I'm all too familiar with this "parameter explosion" playbook: two years ago, some large model claimed hundreds of billions of parameters, only for inference costs to become prohibitively high for commercial use; last year, some IDE plugin touted a million-token context window, yet real-world code completion stuttered like a PowerPoint slideshow. Parameters themselves aren't a moat; whoever can convert parameters into usability is the true winner.
