WorkBuddy tasks bleed into each other when I run two at once—am I using it wrong?
Sisters, while the kid's asleep let me vent about something. These past two days I wanted to actually put WorkBuddy to serious use, and it left me a bit confused.
I've used it for a while actually — two months all told. Normally I just have it organize photos, categorize those side-hustle courses I saved on Taobao — always been smooth. Recently I thought, can it do several things at once — one task to sort the last two months of my little one's photos on my phone into folders by month, and another to fill in the baby food record sheet. I started both tasks at roughly the same time.
What came out was a mess. The photo folders were half-built with baby food spreadsheets mixed in; and on the baby food side, the title was written as "Baby Photo Organization." I stared at the screen for ages, wondering if I'd clicked something wrong, or if it had gotten confused. Then I tried again, this time with only one task open, and it went smoothly.
So now I have a question in my head: can it just not run two things at once, and you have to do them one at a time? I came across a post saying the product's multitasking confusion and memory cross-contamination were officially acknowledged, and that there's no isolation between different projects. After reading it I felt a bit uneasy, because I'd always assumed it was my own operation problem.
What I most want to know now is whether this is a usage issue or just how it is. Any sisters out there who've run two or three tasks at once without problems? Is it that my folder names are too similar and it can't tell them apart? And what exactly is "project isolation" — do I, with my fragmented use while caring for a kid, need to bother with it?
I usually do this during the one-hour nap and after the kid's asleep at night — my time is very fragmented, so I really want it to do several things in one go. If it really can only do one at a time, then I'll have to reorder things.
