FedTR in Industrial Inspection: Beware of Technically Correct but Commercially Wrong Deployments

I noticed an interesting detail: this Arxiv paper combines federated learning with transfer learning for industrial visual inspection. This direction hits exactly two core pain points of digital transformation in manufacturing: data privacy and model generalization. But as someone who has worked on everything from hardware to SaaS, my first reaction was: the technical architecture looks beautiful, but when it comes to implementation, the old question of "who pays" might be harder to optimize than the loss function in the paper.
