Imagine you're building a skyscraper. The foundation is laid, the steel frame is just going up, and suddenly someone serves you a lawsuit claiming that 400 people on your construction crew were trained by them, and that you stole their blueprints. At this point, not only do you have to stop working, but you also have to spend time explaining these people's backgrounds in court. Even worse, you originally planned to build a power station next to the tower, but now you're too scared to even touch the ground for the power station.

At this point, not only do you have to stop working, but you also have to spend time explaining these people's backgrounds in court. Worse still, you originally planned to build a power station next to the tower, but now you're too scared to even touch the ground for the power station.

This is the situation OpenAI currently faces. Apple suing OpenAI for poaching 400 employees, stealing engineering machines, and confidential documents is superficially an intellectual property dispute,…

When the hardware team loses core personnel, execution capability takes a direct hit. Does Altman at OpenAI have a Plan B, or is he fully betting on the Apple alumni team?
