Why Did an IDE Patch Reveal Capital Expenditure Signals?

Just saw that Google Antigravity launched an IDE extension system. Whether it's good or not is up for debate, but the key point is that the ecosystem niche has finally been filled. The whole JetBrains suite can be installed with one click, and you can even install third-party extensions from Open VSX. Translated into financial speak: this company is seriously committing to long-term investment in dev tools.

The remote control feature on mobile is kinda interesting... When I use Claude to watch agents run, there's no such thing; I have to sit in front of the computer. But at the end of the day, the extension ecosystem depends on whether Google keeps supporting it—don't want them cutting it off in two years. Anyway, we just hooked up our CI, so let's wait and see.

Same feeling. Toolchain stickiness is the most expensive part. I just switched my debugging environment from closed-source to open-source, and spent two days just modifying scripts—that doesn't even count team habits. Whoever builds the extension ecosystem first will be lying back and collecting money afterwards.
