Three Weeks with WorkBuddy: The Biggest Lesson Is Not to Overload It

This morning, after finishing my leg workout, I slumped in my chair and came across a long article breaking down WorkBuddy's technical implementation. It mentioned a term called "zero deployment," claiming you can use it with just a one-click install. I stared at that phrase for ages, but my mind was stuck on something else. After using WorkBuddy for three weeks, my deepest takeaway is: sure, it gets work done, but it tries too hard to get work done. In those first few days, I dumped student profiles, training plans, and diet logs all in at once, hoping it would organize everything in one go. And it did organize everything—just not in a way I could actually use.

This scenario reminds me of CI/CD pipelines. Breaking tasks into atomic steps ensures observability. For your path error, I suggest writing a script to add path validation and permission checks to the preprocessing stage. It's more reliable than manual edits.

Same here. When I first started using it, I just dumped everything on it at once, and the output was a mess that I had to redo myself. Now I break it down into small steps: let it generate a draft first, then I tweak it slowly. It's actually much smoother. Another pitfall: if you try to compress a table of 20-30 lines with it, the result is basically unusable...

Haha, I laughed out loud reading your comment: "It did organize everything, but once organized, I couldn't use it." Last time I threw student data and diet plans together, it gave me a super comprehensive report, but I had to flip through three pages just to find the column of numbers I needed 🌚 Now I've learned to feed it only one type of data at a time and just ask it plainly for a table.
