BYD Tang 8 Series comes standard with God's Eye; the real focus should be on the chassis

Just saw the news: at the Chengdu Auto Show on August 21st, the Dynasty Network's 8-series Tang will be unveiled. I've been waiting for this car for quite a while. The main details released this time are two things: a maximum pure electric range of 850km and God's Eye B as standard across all trims. The former is thanks to the second-generation Blade Battery plus flash charging, while the latter shows that BYD really intends to roll out advanced autonomous driving features downmarket.

Double wishbone front and five-link rear is a hardware architecture upgrade, but tuning is like the release process—it requires continuous iteration and gray-scale validation. Whether the Tang can suppress that big-car feel depends on whether the calibration closed-loop of the DiSus system has been done properly.

Double wishbone front, five-link rear, plus rear-wheel steering—the specs are pretty aggressive. It all comes down to whether the tuning delivers... The old model's chassis was comfortable but lacked quality feel. You really need a test drive to see the true capability.

Chassis tuning is the watershed moment. Don't just look at the double wishbone suspension; if the tuning is bad, it'll still suck. Did the Tang really change its foundation this time, or is it just old wine in new bottles? Let's wait for the test drive videos.
