PHP Starts Catering to AI: Worth Keeping an Eye On

Leaf 5 launched, with an official positioning statement that's pretty blunt: built for humans and AI agents. My first reaction was, another one riding the hype wave. After reading through the release materials, I slightly changed my mind.

Coincidentally, when we guide students through AI projects, we also run into issues with context not fitting in. Students complain that writing documentation is more annoying than coding. If Leaf 5 can automatically parse context structures, this direction is indeed suitable for classrooms, lowering the barrier to entry.

That point really hits home... Been trying MCP these past few days too, and feeding context back and forth is annoying as hell. But can leaf's solution be compatible with the existing MCP ecosystem? Don't let it turn into another self-indulgent, closed-off thing.
