The path of LLM-generated SQL is worth pursuing, but it's better suited for 'interactive data querying' scenarios rather than serving as the default channel for production systems. If you just want AI to help you run a few analytical queries, you can try it now. Expecting it to replace data analysts is still premature.

Disagree. After trying it for a week, I don't think it's so absolute. As long as you set the production DB account to read-only and add a query timeout, agents are perfectly fine for running regular reports. The three conditions mentioned by the OP are actually configuration issues, not architectural path issues.
