How to add a 'dashboard' to your AI application

Bottom line first: Dynatrace acquiring Arize is essentially stamping approval on the "AI observability" business. In plain English, observability means putting a dashboard on your AI apps so you can see what's working normally and what's quietly degrading. Last week, while running experiments with students, I set up this whole workflow from scratch. Beginners can totally handle it themselves without needing to buy enterprise versions.

The section on baseline selection is pretty solid; using the weekly median is more stable than just guessing. Data drift in autonomous driving is even harder to handle—when sensor differences and scene changes stack up, poor control over false positive rates can definitely numb engineers.

Have you calculated the costs for log storage and alert maintenance? We used to do similar data drift monitoring on our production line. Once false positives piled up, engineers got fatigued, and actual output rates dropped.
