Doubao's 12% commission forces me to recalculate hotel accounting

A friend recommended this news to me, saying Doubao has started charging a 12% comprehensive commission on hotel bookings and asked if I thought it was expensive. My first reaction was, isn't this just the OTA playbook? Meituan and Ctrip have been doing this for ages. But then I realized it's different—this is the first time an AI entry point has officially stepped in to charge a toll, and the way they're doing it is kind of interesting.

Doubao's recommendations don't match up with Douyin trends... So which algorithm should hotels trust? Spending money when two systems are fighting for traffic feels like a waste.

12% looks okay, but Doubao's recommendations have low overlap with Douyin trends. Is this traffic real or fake? Hotels shouldn't rush to calculate costs yet; they need to figure out if they're being pushed by humans or algorithms...
