The latency jitter from frequent weight updates on this path is harder to handle than clock jitter in our high-frequency trading. Doing online weight updates on FPGA is a huge timing closure issue; with a team of 20 working on this, resource utilization is going to be tight.

I've tested quite a bit of open-source model customization at client sites. A 20-person team doing continuous learning sounds impressive, but in real engineering, frequent model weight updates create huge headaches with heat dissipation and stability. Not sure if they've solved that.
