WorkBuddy Launches 'Human-AI Co-Writing': Doubao Office Still Catching Up, But This Is the Watershed Moment

Last week I came across a piece from Tech Morning Eight O'Clock about WorkBuddy V5.3.5 partnering with Tencent Docs to launch "Human-AI Dual Writing" collaborative editing. My first thought was: finally. As someone who has been tortured by thesis formatting until their third year of grad school, I know exactly what "select a specific area for AI to modify locally" means. In my previous post about fixing thesis formatting in WorkBuddy, I mentioned that its biggest issue before was modifying the entire document. When my advisor said, "The rest is fine, just reconsider the second paragraph," and I regenerated it, the AI would casually change the third paragraph too. That sense of loss of control was more anxiety-inducing than being unable to write the paper itself.
