Just wanted to share something. During lunch break this week, I went through the Go 1.27 release notes. When I saw the new simd package, my first thought was: Can our team use this directly?

I think the quantized version is indeed key, especially since memory and bandwidth are limited on edge devices. After you got the full pipeline running, was the accuracy loss of the quantized models within an acceptable range?

This direction indeed lowers the engineering barrier for edge inference, but customers care more about compatibility with existing models. If your team can run Llama2, try testing quantized versions next to get the full pipeline working. Performance trade-offs are what anchor customer willingness to pay.
