Better to use AI to find your slippers than to write medical records
Pulled another night shift last night. At 3 AM, an elderly patient in the hallway suddenly sat up, grabbed the bed rail, and shouted something. When I rushed over, his spouse was holding a tablet with a medical order form on the screen. The old man stared at the tablet, looking completely confused. I crouched down, flipped the tablet over, patted him on the shoulder, and said, "It's okay, go back to sleep." His spouse sighed and said the doctor told them to use this to view lab results, but the text is too small to read.
