Live car teardowns: Do Li Auto and Zeekr really understand this strategy?

Last Wednesday during an internal discussion with the cockpit team, we were talking about a pretty interesting phenomenon: why has user trust in smart cars actually decreased even as specs keep breaking records? New tech launches are coming one after another—battery/motor/control systems, autonomous driving chips, cockpit computing power—the numbers look better and better, but what users really perceive is just the simplest question: "Is this car safe?" Yesterday, seeing Zeekr and Li Auto both announce they're doing teardown livestreams, and Xiaomi's Xu Jieyun reposting it saying "applause for transparent peers," my first reaction was: finally, someone has figured out this move.

For the car teardown livestream, I'm only watching delivery milestones. Structural trust can be solved, but systemic trust relies on version iterations and long-term data validation. It'll take at least a quarter to see results.
