The "semantic understanding" angle used in promoting this feature creates a huge gap between actual performance and user expectations, which easily triggers negative word-of-mouth. I suggest OP send the cases directly to the official product team to see how they explain the algorithm logic behind this "semantic difference."

This data volume requires distributed processing, but cross-language comparison is essentially an NLP problem, not something solvable by simple word frequency. Is the sequencing depth sufficient? For example, have you tried splitting comparisons by paragraph or introducing an external terminology database?
