AI becomes scammers' 'copywriting tool'; can OpenAI's ban stop anyone?
Honestly, I wasn't surprised at all when I saw this news. Last week I just wrote a post about OpenAI slowing down, and I was thinking then: the faster tech advances, the higher the probability of being targeted by bad actors. Sure enough, scam gangs in Cambodia are using ChatGPT directly as a "copy generator" for investment scams, romance scams, and gambling scams. WhatsApp spotted the clues first, and only then did OpenAI step in to ban accounts. But here's the question: does banning a few accounts really cut off the root?
