FCC Ban Disrupts Robot Vacuum Overseas Expansion

Honestly, this news came earlier than I expected. The FCC (Federal Communications Commission) announced this week a ban on importing foreign-made "advanced mobile robots," covering humanoids, quadrupeds, and potentially even robot vacuums. On the surface, it seems aimed at military robots, but if a robot vacuum has a camera, LiDAR, and Wi-Fi modules, running around your living room counts as a "mobile robot"—that label fits perfectly.
