A range-extender EV with 464km pure electric range: Technical breakthrough or marketing anchor?
Let's look at some data first. Currently, mainstream range-extended EVs on the market have CLTC pure-electric ranges concentrated in the 200-300km range. The Li Auto L9 is 215km, the AITO M9 extended-range version is 225km, and the Deepal S7 extended-range version is 200km. The Xiaomi Pengcheng N90 Max more than doubled that, hitting 464km. This figure even surpasses most 400V platform pure electric sedans (for example, the Model 3 RWD is 556km). Is it reasonable for a range-extender vehicle to have a pure-electric range approaching that of a pure EV?
