What does Meta's recent stock plunge have to do with protein folding?
Meta's earnings report is out. Revenue grew 28%, but free cash flow dropped to just $784 million. The market immediately slapped a 10% decline on it. Zuckerberg poured $31 billion into data centers and servers, essentially burning all the money earned from ads on compute power. This reminds me of an old question: as AI model training costs continue to balloon, who exactly ends up paying the bill?
