Apple's AI lesson through smart home hubs: An observation from a middle school teacher

I noticed an interesting detail. Bloomberg reported that the core selling point of Apple's upcoming smart home hub device is "a brand new Siri AI." This phrasing makes me, as an IT teacher, particularly sensitive. Over the past few years, when I taught voice assistants in class, students always complained that Siri was "dumb," preferring to demonstrate with Xiao Ai Tongxue or Tmall Genie on their phones. In my view, Apple tying AI upgrades to a home hub feels more like an opportunity for AI literacy education aimed at ordinary users (including middle school students).
