Humanoid robots debut at World Cup, but the 'iPhone moment' isn't built on hype

On July 20, 2026, during CCTV's World Cup special program Super Green Pitch live broadcast, an 88cm tall humanoid robot wearing a number 7 jersey completed Cristiano Ronaldo's iconic "Siu" celebration move—jumping into the air, spinning, landing, and then chatting with the host about tactics. This scene reminded me of when AlphaGo defeated Lee Sedol in 2015; the media also shouted about "AI's iPhone moment." Ten years later, embodied intelligence has finally stepped into the public eye, but can a robot doing a celebration move really be called an "iPhone moment"?
