Let's look at some numbers first: 28.9 million parameters, 8MB PSRAM, ESP32-S3 dual-core @ 240MHz, theoretical compute power of about 1.5 GOPS (single precision). Two years ago, no one would have believed this combo could run a full inference model. Now, Ukrainian developer Slava S has done it, using a hand-written C inference engine with zero dependencies on existing deep learning frameworks. The project is called ESP32-AI, aiming to run offline AI on coffee machines to real-time brew the perfect taste.
