Slow Thinking in Huawei's Xiaoyi: Educational Insights from Fast-Slow AI Fusion
According to official Huawei announcements, the newly upgraded Celia (Xiaoyi) smart brain based on an Agentic self-evolving architecture is gradually rolling out randomly. Coverage doesn't depend on the device model, as long as the system version is HarmonyOS 6.0 or above. This means that in the coming months, tens of millions of Huawei phone users could get an AI assistant capable of "fusing fast and slow thinking, memory and autonomous learning, reflection and evolution." While this news has sparked quite a bit of discussion in the tech circle, as a middle school IT teacher, I see more value in the cognitive science education hidden behind it.
