From a Financial Perspective, Anthropic's Refusal to Sign Open Source Agreements is Rational

Almost everyone signed, except Anthropic. OpenAI's signature was even more of a market surprise—after all, the company has always been known for being closed and commercialized. But as a finance professional who deals with valuations and cash flow on a daily basis, my judgment is exactly the opposite: Anthropic's refusal is actually the optimal solution for its long-term financial health, while OpenAI's compromise exposes its weakness of tight cash flow.
