I work in cross-border e-commerce, using AI daily for copywriting and product selection. Honestly, it’s saved me a ton of time. But seeing this news recently stirred up some complicated feelings. That student at Adelphi University got falsely flagged by an AI detection tool, was wrongfully accused, and now has to go through litigation just to prove their innocence. It reminds me of a metaphor: you use a scale to weigh air, and the scale says it weighs one jin, but air itself simply can’t be weighed accurately.
