BYD Humanoid Robot: Sales Assistant or Ultimate Cockpit Form?

Walk into BYD's Di Space in Zhengzhou on a weekend, and a 1.7-meter-tall humanoid robot walks up to you, using natural language to guide you toward the Seal display car and laser gestures to explain the CTB (Cell-to-Body) battery-integrated chassis technology. It sounds sci-fi, but BYD plans to make it reality by early August. Executive Vice President Stella Li even stated: she hopes every store can deploy robots to introduce and demonstrate vehicles to customers. From a product manager's perspective, behind this teaser poster lie two completely different product paths: one is a sales assistant for retail scenarios, and the other is the ultimate carrier for cockpit interaction. The automotive-grade thresholds, user safety risks, and commercial value between the two are worlds apart.
