Musk's 'Historically Accurate' Odyssey: Another Concept Bubble in AI Adaptations
I noticed an interesting detail: when Elon Musk announced that Grok Imagine would produce a "historically accurate" AI adaptation of The Odyssey, he specifically emphasized "after the success of Christopher Nolan"—as if Nolan's cinematic success were proof of concept for AI adaptations. This logical chain doesn't hold up on its own merits. Nolan's films succeeded due to live-action shooting, practical effects, and human directorial control over narrative, whereas AI-generated video is still struggling with issues like "six fingers," floating objects, and distorted faces.
