Product Logic in the AI Era: Why One-off Work is the Biggest Waste
Let's start with an analogy. When smart home tech first emerged, many manufacturers built "one-off switches"—install an app, connect to Wi-Fi, and have users hit a "lights off" button every night; that was considered "smart." But we later realized what users actually need is a "Home Mode": lights turn on automatically when you walk in, the AC sets itself to 26°C, and curtains close slowly. This mode isn't a one-time setup but a continuous evolution based on time, location, and sensor data. One-off work solves for "existence," while systematic work solves for "usability."
