Kimi K3 Tops Frontend Dev Leaderboard: Promising Experimental Signal, But Not Yet Conclusive

Last Wednesday afternoon, I watched three groups of students give their mid-term presentations in the lab. One student working on code generation said he ran a few frontend tests using Kimi K3 and got good results. When I asked him what his baseline for comparison was, he said there wasn't one. This scene reminded me that every time LLM leaderboards update, many people just look at the rankings and rarely question the design logic behind the test sets.
