From Data Extraction to Trust Rebuilding: Can Reignat Be Privacy Computing's Small-Sample Breakthrough?
A few months ago, our lab's website backend suddenly received an email from the university's IT center demanding we immediately stop using Google Analytics. The reason cited was "risk of leaking sensitive research data." Our lab budget is tight; we couldn't afford tens of thousands of dollars for an enterprise-grade analytics platform, nor could we write a log parsing system from scratch. During that period, even the training results of CV models running on our servers were nearly cut off as "non-compliant data streams." It wasn't until a junior student dug up the open-source Matomo that we barely managed to get by.
