Embodied AI Lacks 'Vision' for Deployment; Can LightSense Tech Fill the Gap?
While everyone is talking about VLA large models, end-to-end generalization, and how robot "brains" are getting smarter, I'm actually more anxious about a more fundamental question: when robots enter the real world, can they really "see"? Not just taking a photo and doing image classification, but steadily navigating around kids' toys in a living room with fluctuating light, precisely grabbing a reflective metal part on a factory assembly line, or distinguishing soy sauce from vinegar bottles on supermarket shelves. Visual perception, this tough nut hidden by the hype of large models, finally has someone seriously trying to crack it today.
