Why Designers in the AI Era Need Common Sense, Patience, and Failure

In an interview, Li Wei said that the core of changing times isn't technological iteration, but finding certainty amidst uncertainty. This judgment feels like a mirror to me, a designer who deals with pixels, components, and state diagrams every day. We face no less uncertainty than investors—user behavior is changing, platforms are evolving, and even design tools themselves are being reshaped by AI. But what really gave me chills were the three words he repeatedly mentioned: common sense, patience, and failure. In the context of design, these words hit exactly at the most overlooked weaknesses of the current UI/UX industry.
