The Embodied AI Route War at WAIC: Rule Engines vs. End-to-End
Day three of WAIC, I'm squeezed into the robot zone at the Pudong exhibition center. Next to me, a buddy working on autonomous driving is complaining: "Look at this grasping demo—one action every five seconds, more stable than the latency of our online models." I stared at that robotic arm—it was using vacuum suction cups to move a soda can from point A to point B. Precise but mechanical movements, just like those fixed rules we've been running in our risk control systems for years: if device fingerprint is blacklisted then reject, if transaction amount > threshold then manual review.
