Didi's AI ride-hailing: From understanding vague commands to orchestrating the physical world
It was 11 PM near Jing'an Temple in Shanghai. I had just finished a closed-door discussion on robot joint modules. Out of habit, I opened DiDi and said via voice input, "Take me to that late-night stall with the fried noodles we went to last time." The app didn't pop up a bunch of options; instead, it directly confirmed a roadside stall five kilometers away—I had indeed eaten fried noodles there three months ago and mentioned in my review that "the fried noodles were good." Forty seconds later, a car pulled up in front of me, and the driver's navigation was already set to that exact stall.
