PHYSIX OBSERVATION
On the surface, ByteDance's move is a data security defense; in substance, it is pulling development scenarios into its own in-house ecosystem and feeding Trae with real business. Employee efficiency will suffer in the short term, but competition in big-tech AI Coding has shifted from tool usability to entry-point ownership: whoever captures the programmer's keyboard holds the entry point for token consumption and model evolution.
