Meta launches build-your-own app 'spaces' in Muse AI
KEY FACTS
- Meta has rolled out a new feature called spaces inside its Muse AI assistant.
- Users can create spaces such as shopping malls, school dashboards and music trackers from a text description.
- Spaces can connect to related apps, with prices, dates and other information updating automatically in the background.
- Users can check off items, add notes and keep asking Muse to adjust a space.
- The feature is available to all Muse users, alongside the launch of a dedicated Muse Wonder model.
PHYSIX OBSERVATION
By turning the AI assistant into an assemblable factory of small apps, Meta is racing for the entry point rather than competing on models. For users it is a low-barrier customization tool; for developers it means the app form factor gets further dismantled. The signal worth noting is that collaboration and sharing are still being explored, and whether the ecosystem can retain third parties is the real key.
