StepFun Terminal to Launch Agent Phone STEPX Neo on Oct 13

KEY FACTS

  • StepFun Terminal announced it will hold a launch event in Shanghai on October 13 under the theme Ready Builder One.
  • The event will unveil STEPX Neo, the first large-model-native agent phone.
  • STEPX Neo is built agent-native across the model, system, and hardware layers.
  • The event will also announce StepFun Terminal's latest progress on ecosystem partnerships.

PHYSIX OBSERVATION

Phone makers pushing large models down from the application layer to the system and hardware layers is this year's new dividing line in terminal competition. If STEPX Neo truly achieves agent-native design, it could change how users interact with their phones, but whether ecosystem partnerships actually land is the real key. The industry must guard against concept-first, experience-lagging.
