Zhuoyu launches Pansing commercial-vehicle ADAS, claims one-year payback
KEY FACTS
- Zhuoyu Technology launched its Pansing commercial-vehicle ADAS solution on October 29, in two versions, PDS 4 and PDS 5.
- PDS 4 supports highway NOA, targets heavy-truck line-haul logistics, and is already in mass production.
- PDS 5 will add urban NOA and targets buses, light trucks, vans and other vehicle types.
- Zhuoyu has partnered with six heavy-truck makers including XCMG, Shacman and Sinotruk, which together hold more than 93% of the market.
- Its fuel-saving algorithm cuts heavy-truck fuel use by 4.5%-7.5%, saving 20,000 to 30,000 yuan a year at 800 km of daily driving.

PHYSIX OBSERVATION
With commercial-vehicle ADAS penetration under 1%, this is a realistic outlet for passenger-car solution providers seeking growth. Zhuoyu migrates passenger-car foundation models and adds a fuel-saving algorithm to compress payback to one year, targeting the cost ledger fleets care about most. But heavy trucks tolerate little safety error and data is scarce; fuel savings and reliability still need long-term operational validation, and first-mover status does not guarantee a win.
