Token consumption quadrupling in half a year shows large models have moved from early experimentation into scaled invocation, but prices have simultaneously climbed back nearly twofold, meaning the low-price dividend period is essentially over. Throughput still trails foreign models, latency is still rising, and users choosing platforms cannot look only at official vendor platforms, since third-party optimization differences may determine the actual experience.
