PHYSIX OBSERVATION
Apple has crammed surveillance, a photo frame and a kitchen assistant into one screen, aiming to seize the home entry point through ecosystem stickiness. But the camera's rejection of Matter and the wall-mount's need for electrical work show its smart home remains closed. For users, the experience is smooth but switching costs are high, and it will struggle to become a universal hub in the short term.
