Apple homeOS Leak: Blends iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, Siri at Core

KEY FACTS

Apple has registered the homeOS trademark, though the system's name has not been officially confirmed.
The homeOS interface blends iOS widgets, iPadOS app design, and watchOS icon styling.
The default interface centers on a photo slideshow and clock, with an upward swipe opening the app launcher.
Siri AI is homeOS's core input method, supporting voice queries for songs, notes, calendars, and more.
homeOS ships with built-in apps like Music, FaceTime, and Notes, and is expected to offer no App Store.

PHYSIX OBSERVATION

By making homeOS a Siri-led voice gateway, Apple uses system-level integration to bypass the App Store ecosystem and pull the say over the home scenario back into its own hands. For users it means a smoother cross-device experience, but for developers it means limited upside on a new platform, with third parties left to chase traffic through widgets. Whether this move succeeds rests entirely on Siri's actual capabilities.
